Advocacy Mission:
The goal of Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association’s
Advocacy Program is to promote and improve accessibility
for persons with disabilities. Through proactive measures,
the Advocacy Staff accomplishes this goal through outreach
efforts and educational campaigns to private business owners,public and government officials and the disability community. Other means that enable the Advocacy Program to carry out its mission include:
Assisting people with disabilities to live independently in their homes and communities.
Sponsoring conferences and outreach events.
Developing educational materials.
Responding to complaints.
Conducting site visits to ensure accessibility.
Provide training programs on timely disability and
accessibility related issues.
