The Prospect Park Tax/Vital Statistics Office will be closed from Monday, June 6, 2016 through Friday, June 10, 2016.
If you need to inquire about a tax payment, please call (973) 790-7902 Ext. 517 after 6:30 PM.
Vital Statistics - Marriage License applications can be processed with Ms. Chamberlin,
Registrar at the Hawthorne Board of Health Office, located on the 2nd floor of the Hawthorne Municipal Building. You must call (973) 427-4011 to make an appointment with Ms. Chamberlin as it is done by appointment only.
Lighting of the Crescent Ceremony
Join your community leaders and neighbors at the annual Lighting of the Crescent Ceremony to commemorate the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The Ceremony will take place at the Prospect Park Municipal Building on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 7:45PM. We will break fast immediately following the Ceremony. Click flyer for details.
May 26, 2016 Land Use Board Meeting Cancelled
The Land Use Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 6:30pm has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting of the Land Use Board is Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 6:30pm in the Council Chambers of the Prospect Park Municipal Building.
Bid Notice: North 9th Street (Section II) & North 10th Street Improvements
Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Prospect Park, Municipal Building, 106 Brown Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ 07508 in the County of Passaic and State of New Jersey on May 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. prevailing time, and then publicly opened and read aloud for: NORTH 9TH STREET, SECTION 2 AND NORTH 10TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS.
Copies of plans, specification, and contract documents will be on file for public inspection and may be obtained upon payment of $100 non-refundable payable to Fastech Consulting Engineers, in the Clerk’s Office, at The Municipal Building, 106 Brown Avenue, Prospect Park, New Jersey 07508, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
New Prospect Park Community Garden
Through assistance provided by a grant from the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders' City Green initiative, Prospect Park is pleased to announce the creation of the Prospect Park Community Garden this Spring. The Garden provides an area where individuals and families can grow vegetable and flower gardens organically, share and expand gardening skills and build community friendships. Located in Hofstra Park, the Garden offers a very sunny plot, water facilities, deer and rodent fencing, and plenty of opportunities for community building. Rent a 48”x48”plot for only $40! Plot frame and soil will be provided. Bring your seeds and plants and enjoy fresh veggies all summer long! More details can be found on the flyer.
