PROSPECT PARK STRONG ROAD TO RECOVERY
TEMPORARY OUTDOOR DINING AND DISPLAYS
Prospect Park Business Owner:
Governor Murphy has announced that restaurants will be permitted to offer outside dining beginning on June 15th. The Borough understands that the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating financially and wants to support you and your fellow business owners during this difficult time. To that end, on June 15th, the Mayor and Borough Council adopted the above resolution to permit the expansion of temporary outside dining and displays, subject to certain requirements. Also attached above is a Temporary Outside Dining Permit Application Form for your use. If you wish to set up outside dining or displays at your establishment, please complete the form as instructed and submit it to the Zoning Officer, James Booth and our Code Enforcement Officer, Heidy Amaral.
Application reviews will be expedited to the maximum extent possible and there is no fee for the permit.
Depending on the proposed location of your outdoor seating, protective measures may be needed to ensure the safety of your patrons. There may be multiple ways to address this requirement so we urge you to contact the Police Department and Building Department in order to review your arrangements with them.
