2021 Autism Awareness Walk - Register Today!
Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah, the Municipal Council and the Borough of Prospect Park in partnership with FIGHT 4 AUTISM present the Rainbow Walk for Autism. April is Autism Awareness month and together we are bringing the pieces together to bring autism awareness to our community. The walk will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hofstra Park (Struyk Avenue Extension, Prospect Park, NJ).
2021 Prospect Park Lighting of the Fanous Ceremony

Temporary Outdoor Dining and Displays for Prospect Park Businesses
The Mayor and Council on June 15th adopted a Temporary Outdoor Dining and Displays Resolution to support business operations due to the State and Federal restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. All interested businesses must submit an application and supporting documents that can be found here.
Prospect Park Recreation Receives Grant from Massachusetts Charity (Good Sports) for Youth Sports Equipment
The borough has received a grant for new gear for youth athletic teams. The award, from Massachusetts-based Good Sports Inc., allows officials to get up to six sports equipment donations before the spring of 2022. The number of items per donation will depend on the borough's need when each request is made; there is no dollar limit.
Prospect Park Fire Department Receives Lifesaving Equipment Thanks to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation
Thanks to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, the Prospect Park Volunteer Fire Department is now better equipped to keep Prospect Park community safe. The Borough of Prospect Park recently received a $19,246.70 grant award from the Foundation to purchase co gas meters, thermal imaging cameras, and accessories.
Prospect Park Awarded Its FIRST Green Acres Grant - $750K For Turf Soccer Field
The borough's only park (Hofstra Park) is being primed for the biggest upgrade it has ever seen.
Those funds, totaling $150,000, will be added to a more recent award of $750,000 from the Green Acres program of the state Department of Environmental Protection to help pay for an artificial turf soccer field at Hofstra Park, a construction project.
