Prospect Park 9/11 Candlelight Ceremony
Join your neighbors, civic leaders and elected officials at the Borough's annual ceremony to honor the men and women who protect and serve our community and pay tribute to those who served before them. The ceremony will take place outside of the Prospect Park Municipal Building (106 Brown Avenue) at 6:30pm. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Municipal Building's court room on the 1st floor.
Labor Day- Monday September 7, 2015
The Prospect Park Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2015 in observance of Labor Day. The Municipal Building will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 8:30am.
There will be no garbage collection on Monday, September 7, 2015. Garbage collection will resume on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
Spray Park's End of Summer Schedule
The Spray Park in Hofstra Park will be open following the below end of summer schedule:
Monday August 24 - Sunday August 30: Open 12:00PM - 5:00PM (weather permitting)
Monday August 31 - Friday September 4: Closed
Saturday September 5- Monday September 7: Open 12:00PM - 5:00PM (weather permitting)
Saturday September 12 (Prospect Park Day): Open 12:00PM - 6:00PM (weather permitting)
Prospect Park Residents: $2 for children (under 18), $1 for adults
Non Prospect Park Residents: $4 for children (under 18), $2 for adults
Prospect Park Day 2015- Parade, Festival & Shuttle Information
The Borough of Prospect Park will be holding its 7th Annual Prospect Park Day & Parade on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
The parade begins at 12:00PM and will start from Manchester Regional High School, proceeding on Brown Avenue, and continuing to Hofstra Park. The festival will take place at Hofstra Park from 1:00PM - 6:00PM. Click Read More for further details.

Prospect Park seeks a part-time Coordinator for Office of Emergency Management. The candidate will be directly responsible for the planning, development, and administration of emergency response activities.
Must be a resident of the Borough of Prospect Park, possess minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar type of role, and be of good reputation and sound moral character. Candidate is required to be available in the event of a disaster or State of Emergency. EOE/AA.
